When I began the wedding planning process, one of the things that was very important in terms of picking my bridesmaids’ dresses was making sure that each of my friends felt comfortable in what she was wearing. Everyone’s body and style are different in everyday life. So, in my opinion, there’s no reason not to let your bridesmaids choose what feels most comfortable for them. When my dear friend and Paper Crown co-founder Maura and I set out to design our Paper Crown Bridesmaids line, we kept this idea in mind. That’s why we created different necklines, colors, styles, lengths—you name it—for our collection. And we’re still adding new styles every season!
Our bridesmaids line truly has a dress for everyone’s style and a whole range of body types. And today, I’m excited to show you how six bloggers have styled our bridesmaids dresses to flatter their figures. Think of it as a little guide on how to help your ‘maids choose the dress they love most. And remember, you can mix and match any of these styles together to create a stunning wedding party where everyone feels gorgeous in their own skin.
Without further ado, here’s how six gorgeous, real-life women styled our Paper Crown Bridesmaids dresses…
Jaclyn of My View In Heels stands at 5’11” and wears our Tori Dress in “Pewter” beautifully. She can still wear heels with the dress, which is a major bonus for a bridesmaid who wants to wear fancy footwear on your big day. This style is flattering for your taller friends because it accentuates the waist and creates a long, lean silhouette. Shop for the Tori Dress by clicking here.
The Britton Dress, modeled here in the color “Tote Basket” by the lovely Miriam of Simply x Classic, is perfect for the bridesmaid with an hourglass figure. The ruffle on the top of the dress balances does a beautiful job of keeping your figure looking perfectly proportional, and the elastic waist and extendable straps allow for any ‘maid to customize this dress to fit her best. If one of your bridesmaids happen to be expecting when you plan your wedding, it’s important to help her find a dress that will allow her to feel comfortable and look her most beautiful on the day of your nuptials. The Natalie Dress from our bridesmaids line is the perfect style for accentuating a baby bump and creating a long silhouette. It comes with a self-tie sash to help your ‘maid get the perfect fit, but it can be worn without as well. Maria of Classified Chic looks breathtaking while modeling this style in “Cream,” one of our favorite colors of the entire collection. Shop for our Natalie dress by clicking here.
Your friends who are smaller on top and curvier on the bottom will appreciate the way our Lauren dress fits: It’s ideal for pear-shaped ladies, with its flattering waistline and long, sleek skirt. It elongates any body type and feels fun to wear, too! Take it from Lauren of Bohemian by the Bay, who shows how this dress, modeled here in “Silver Peony,” can look flattering and romantic all at once. Shop our Lauren Dress by clicking here.
Emily of ShellChic’d stands at just 5’4”, making her the perfect petite model for our Breanna Dress. This style, modeled here in “Tote Basket”, has an empire waist, which allows for hemming without compromising the design of the dress. That means that your ‘maids of small stature can customize this dress to fit their bodies perfectly. All of our styles can be hemmed at the bottom as well, so your petite friends can wear the shoes they want without having to worry about the length of their dresses. Our Jillian Dress will make your bridesmaids with beautiful curves feel instantly glamorous when it comes time to get ready on the big day. The Greek-goddess-inspired silhouette has delicate ruching, which allows the dress to flow gracefully with any movement. And the waistline is flattering on any body type. We love how ethereal Carrie Lane looks in this style in navy. Shop our Jillian Dress by clicking here.
Well, ladies, there you have it. Special thanks the ladies who modeled these dresses! I hope all of you brides and bridesmaids-to-be enjoyed seeing these styled modeled on beautiful, real-life women (I sure did). There really is something for everyone.
