Transitioning your wardrobe from Summer to Fall isn't always the easiest. Between saying goodbye to warm Summer nights and margaritas by the pool, you might be looking for ways to keep wearing your favorite Summer wardrobe pieces. Today Ilana Saul from LaurenConrad.com is sharing with us how she styles our Seoul Top (available in Dalmatian Dot, Spiced Wine & Fall Bloom!) to transition into the colder months to come...
When I find an outfit I really love, I’m often guilty of wearing it over, and over, and overagain. I’d be the first to tell you there’s nothing wrong with outfit repeats—I mean, why not get as much wear as possible out of a clothing combo that you feel chic, comfortable, and confident in? But there’s also something to be said for creativity, and for not getting stuck in a rut where you’re only pairing the same two pieces with each other all season long. That’s why this season I decided to challenge myself to mix up my wardrobe a bit more. For starters, I recently spent some time styling my new favorite Paper Crown top a variety of ways. That way when I pull it out of my closet, I will have plenty of outfit options already at my fingertips and won’t automatically grab the same bottom I wore it with last time.
With its fun Dalmatian print and ladylike tie neck, I fell completely in love with this Paper Crown Seoul Top as soon as I laid eyes on it. It’s certainly a statement piece, which you might think would make it more difficult to style. But I am pleased to say that I found at least three ways to style it using other pre-existing pieces from my wardrobe that I really love wearing it with. Check out all three outfit options below…
This first outfit was my go-to. It was easy to see how the blouse would pair well with a feminine, flouncy Paper Crown skirt in a coordinating print. Finish it off with some ladylike heels, and you’re good to go!
This outfit was a tad bit edgier, and also a great way to take the look from summer into fall. With a felt hat, ripped black denim, and chunky mules, this combo is right on trend.
Last but not least, lacy black tap shorts and multi-buckle LC Lauren Conrad flats make for a fun and casual look. And I couldn’t resist pairing this outfit with my favorite Mansur Gavriel bucket bag that I use most days.
Which of these three outfits was your favorite?
